Pinkathon is more than a Marathon. It is the seed of change. It is the beginning of a movement carried forward by a growing community of empowered women, who share a belief that a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with empowered women.
The first step in empowerment is taking control of your own health, respecting yourself and understanding and celebrating the value you bring to your family and society. Empowerment is not a gift society; it is a gift you give yourself.
Leisure Port (www.leisureport.in
) has initiated the introduction of the Nepalese chapter of Pinkathon. United Sister’s Foundation has provided Leisure Port with the responsibility of organizing India’s Biggest Women’s Run – Pinkathon in the Nepxalese capital once again.
This event that symbolizes women empowerment will be held on 24th February 2018 (6am -10 am)and attended by the creator of Pinkathon – model, actor, fitnness guru -Iron Man Milind Soman and will be joined by Nepalese achievers / celebrities from various walks of life namely sports, glamour, business, social work etc.
We would be having 4 categories - 21kms and 10 kms for professional runners and regular runners. 5 kms and 3kms for fun and celebration of womanhood. Those who cannot run can participate by walking. We also plan to have a wheel chair run, a walk for visually impaired, participation of cancer survivors etc.
